The first great step of mankind consists in that, to fly behind the atmosphere and to become the satellite of the Earth. All other things are very easy to do.
The beginning of the exploration. The exploring of reactions high organized animals on the conditions of rocket flight began at the end of 1948 by the decision of Sergey Pavlovich Korolev.
"Technical characteristics". The experiments required small dogs at the age of 2-6 years, weight 6-7 kg with good health and high resistance to illnesses. In addition to it the dogs must be patient.
Preparations. Firstly, scientific employees tamed dogs. Animals got accustomed to wear special uniform. Also people taught them to eat from automatic feeding trough.
The first flight. Korolev attached much importance for it and personally was on the first flight of two dogs: Cigan and Dazic on the 22 of July in 1951. Dogs were alive and very happy.
The World’s Celebrities. Belka and Strelka made a flight on 19 august 1960. After daily flight they came back and achieved the world fame. Then they lived happily in the aviary.
American’s achievements. Americans began to launch rockets with animals in 1948. They worked with small monkeys, but this animals often didn’t want to listen to people, it was hard to tame them.
Each year many achievements are made in science and they change our life. All flights that were made since 1951 contributed a lot to the development of modern astronautics.
